Discover where movement, music, and memory meet at the most human of junctions.
This August, LC Collectors are invited inside the creative process through a special preview of Performa/Dance’s 2026 re-staging of BLUEGRASS JUNCTION, an uplifting celebration of Americana, community, and the traditions that bring people together through dance and live music.
Join us for an intimate look inside the rehearsal studio, as choreographers, dancers, and the production team fine-tune their performance before opening night. Additional details coming soon.

Performa/Dance invites you to BLUEGRASS JUNCTION
Aug. 12 @ 7pm // AustinVentures Studio Theater
An Exclusive Collectors-Only Event
Overview: LC Collectors are invited into the studio and behind the scenes for an exclusive rehearsal preview of Performa/Dance’s BLUEGRASS JUNCTION, a heartfelt exploration of Americana inspired by folk dance traditions, bluegrass music, and the communal joy of gathering together.
Created by award-winning choreographer Jennifer Hart and set to live music by international singer and songwriter Tim Eriksen and Austin’s own Wayside Bluegrass band, BLUEGRASS JUNCTION explores the cycles of life through movement inspired by the rich tapestry of American folk dance traditions, including square dancing, clogging, jigs, reels, and buck-and-wing. Equal parts joyful and reflective, the work honors the ways music and dance have long served as gathering places for communities — carrying people through moments of celebration, transformation, grief, and hope.
The production evokes a world where front porches become dance floors, strangers become neighbors, and movement becomes a shared language. At its heart, BLUEGRASS JUNCTION is a reminder of the simple but profound human need to come together.
As part of this intimate Long Center Collective experience, members view a portion of this contemporary ballet company’s rehearsal process at Ballet Austin’s AustinVentures Studio Theater where the live production will be performed later in the week, offering a rare glimpse into the artistry, collaboration, and creative energy shaping the 2026 revival.
