Accessibility

We strive to provide the best services and accessibility for all guests. Learn more about how we do this below, or contact us with any questions.

Mobility Assistance

All of our performance spaces have wheelchair and mobility-assisted seating locations. Patrons have the option to remain in their own wheelchair, or to transfer to a fixed theatre seat with a swing-out armrest. Patrons who do not wish to transfer from their wheelchair to a theatre seat should request wheelchair-accessible locations when ordering tickets. Seats with removable armrests are available in various locations if you wish to transfer from a mobility device or wheelchair into a fixed theatre seat. Please also advise us if you are not able to ascend or descend stairs, are sensitive to heights, or require any type of special seating accommodation for any reason. To order accessible seating please contact the Guest Services team.

The Long Center is accessible by wheelchair in Dell Hall, Rollins Studio Theatre and throughout the Long Center Building and Terrace, including all restrooms. Wheelchair assistance service is available curbside by request. Curb cuts allow easy access to our sidewalk system, and parking area access ramps. Main entrance doors have automated mechanical service. Dell Hall and other venues inside have elevators that service all levels of the facility. Courtesy wheelchairs are available by calling in advance. It is strongly recommended that patrons who do not normally use a wheelchair bring a companion to assist them in maneuvering around the Long Center public areas.

Hearing & Vision Assistance

Infrared ALDs are available at most performances. They are provided free of charge upon request from a House Manager at every performance. Simply exchange your driver’s license (or State-issued ID) for the unit upon arrival, and return the unit after the performance to reclaim your ID.

American Sign Language interpretation will be scheduled for select Long Center events throughout the year. If you need sign language interpretation, please email Guest Services with your request no less than 2 weeks in advance of the performance.

Audio Description is the verbal translation of visual information to make a detailed account of all the onstage action (including choreography, blocking, lighting, sets, costume changes, etc.) more understandable to people with low vision. The Long Center offers this service on select performances. To receive audio description by request, please email Guest Services with your query no less than 2 weeks in advance of the performance.

Request Assistance

We want to make your Long Center experience the best it can be. To help our staff, we ask for at least two weeks notice for any assistance requests.
