How do you think about civic duty? Do we have responsibilities as citizens? Are they optional?
Join KUT News and “1A’s” Jenn White for this free event with networking and a conversation exploring how our individual civic duty contributes to how well our democracy works. The conversation will be recorded for potential later use in a national broadcast of “1A.”
This community conversation is part of KUT’s participation in the “1A Remaking America” project, a two-year collaborative effort examining the local causes and effects of a nationally growing distrust in institutions — and KUT News’ weeklong “Civics 101” reporting and events series.
This is a venue rental event presented by an independent organization separate from the Long Center. Any views or opinions expressed in this event or by the event organizers do not necessarily reflect the views, positions, or values of the Long Center.
The Long Center is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment and will not tolerate demeaning, harassing, or discriminatory conduct from, or directed toward, patrons, artists, rental clients, staff, or volunteers.
