Who Can Participate?

All public, private, and accredited charter high schools in Travis, Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, and Williamson Counties with these stipulations: 

• Only one musical per school may be adjudicated.
• Only one cast (if double or triple cast) may be adjudicated.
• Musical must be presented between mid September and mid February.

There is no cost to participate in the program.

What Does Participation Look Like?

• Upwards of 30 schools produce musicals across the Greater Austin area.
• Adjudicators are sent to each participating school to score and evaluate the production in over 15 categories.
• A nomination announcement is streamed in early March celebrating the work done by all participating schools.
• Nominees are provided certificates; Schools are provided vinyl banners to hand at school sharing participation and nominations with the entire school community.
• A red carpet Tony Awards style event occurs at the Long Center in mid April.
• Schools are eligible for scholarships, program grants, workshops, and master classes.
• Trophies for each category are presented by esteemed community leaders and industry professionals.
• More than 500 high school students perform for an audience of 2500.
