Featured Performances
Ballet Austin’s Rhythm on Stage
This is your opportunity to come dance and experience what it’s like to take center stage inside Dell Hall! That’s right, you could dance on the same stage where Ballet Austin performs! This all-ages activity welcomes the entire family for a free Bollywood Dance class, taught by Rohit Ramachandran, instructor from Ballet Austin’s Butler Center for Dance & Fitness. All ages and experience levels welcome. No dance experience is required. Come dance for the joy of it!
Montopolis
The Montopolis live musical score to the 1929 Ukrainian documentary Man with a Movie Camera has toured across the country in 2023 to rave reviews from both critics and audiences alike. Revered as a visual masterpiece and one of the greatest documentaries ever made, the film gives historical context to the current Russian invasion. The joyful, original live score celebrates the beauty and resilience of Ukraine’s people and aims to inspire American audiences to support the country in its time of need. Cellist Sara Nelson (Brandi Carlile, David Byrne, Austin Symphony Orchestra) will be joining pianist and composer Justin Sherburn for the Community Day performance.
Austin Classical Guitar
Austin Classical Guitar will assemble a marvelous array of talented young guitarists from across Austin for a beautiful performance of expressive solos and exciting ensemble pieces to be played on the Dell Hall stage. The performers will include students in the ACG Education program, now serving youth in every Austin ISD middle and high school, some of whom are scholarship lesson recipients made possible for the past ten years in part by The Long Foundation.
2023 Partners & Participants
