- What should I wear?
Masks are definitely in fashion right now, and required at our venue. Like most places in Austin, there is no set dress code for attending an event at the Long Center. In most cases, guest attire corresponds to the formality of the specific show; however, we always invite you to dress to your comfort level and come as you are. If you’re unsure, you can always message us on social media – @longcenter.
- When should I arrive?
Take care to plan your arrival to account for increased Health & Wellness protocols and changes to event entry, alongside time for traffic and parking. Specific details for your show’s entrance and exit plans, Health & Wellness protocol, and security checks will be noted on the show’s specific event page as well as in your pre-show email. Make sure your email preferences are updated with us so you get this important information delivered straight to your inbox.
- Are food and drinks available?
As we slowly re-open, concessions will look a little different for a while. Please check your show’s specific event page for relevant food and beverage information.
- Can I take pictures or video?
We understand that many of your visits to the Long Center may be in celebration of a special occasion and that you may want to document the event. The view of downtown Austin from our H-E-B Terrace makes a wonderful photographic opportunity. However, due to copyright laws and in consideration of the performers, the use of photographic or recording devices inside the theatre is restricted. If you happen to take a snapshot during one of our community events we highly recommend you tag us on social, @longcenter!
- Is there an ATM?
For your convenience, an ATM is located inside the Long Center on the Orchestra Level Lobby behind the Armstrong/Connelly East Grand Staircase. In addition, the 3M Box Office and all interior concession points accept all major credit cards. Please be aware that Hospitality Valet Parking is unable to process credit/debit cards.
- Can I bring kids / Do kids need a ticket?
In general, all patrons, regardless of age, require a ticket to attend our performances. Some events will offer lap seat tickets, and details for those tickets, including age policies, can be found on the respective event’s details page. Event details pages will also provide information if a child’s ticket isn’t required.
- Can I bring my pets?
In consideration of the general public, four-legged friends are allowed only on the grass lawn areas outside the Long Center with the exception of service dogs when there are no performances. For ticketed outdoor events on the H-E-B Terrace and surrounding lawn, pets are not allowed entry. Please call Guest Services at (512) 457-5170 to verify the pet policy for any event.
- Can I use your lawn for a personal event?
We ask that no organized events or professional photography/filming sessions occur without prior permission. Work with our team to create a safe, socially-distant event where your guests feel comfortable to gather and celebrate. Please contact our Director of Venue Sales, Andrew Berger to book your event today!
- Is there a Lost and Found?
Lose something during your visit? Call us at (512) 457-5171 and we’ll be happy to check Lost and Found for you. You can also contact our Guest Services department. If you’re still at the Long Center when you realize that something is missing, you can find a Long Center team member in the lobby and ask for more information about your missing property.
- Can I bring a firearm to the Long Center?
The Long Center is a 51 percent establishment through TABC, meaning guns are not permitted on Long Center property. All bags may be subject to search to ensure compliance.
