These Events Are Fortunate

Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company, an award-winning modern dance company based in Austin, Texas premieres THESE EVENTS ARE FORTUNATE. In this 50-minute original work, choreographed by Austin Arts Hall of Fame member Kathy Dunn Hamrick in collaboration with the dancers, Hamrick has created a world where people are endearing, awkward, vulnerable, strong, funny, and confident. Along the way, viewers can expect to see bold, athletic dancing, rapid-fire micro-movements, and quiet moments of humanity, all interlaced with Hamrick’s signature humor.

THESE EVENTS ARE FORTUNATE is meant to be viewed close up. See, feel, and experience it in the intimate Rollins Theatre. Three shows only: Saturday, June 3rd at 5 pm and 8 pm. Sunday, June 4th at 2 pm.
