Community Events

Our campus is a true community gathering space. On any given day you’ll see Austinites posing for wedding pictures, on the terrace doing yoga, or hanging out in the grass. We think of the Long Center as a home—and everybody’s welcome.

What’s a Bubblepalooza, you ask? It’s a celebration of all things bubble for kids (and their parents) with kiddie rock bands, kiddie yoga, chalk art, and of course LOTS of bubbles. In 2012 more than 3,000 eager kids of all ages came out to play! In all, more than 8,000 people experienced this cool time with us…all for free!

Sound & Cinema

Oh those summer nights! Grab your friends and family and come experience the cool vibes of our front lawn. Put on in partnership with the Alamo Drafthouse and Do512, Sound & Cinema is all about combining live and local music with classic movies—projected onto a giant, inflatable outdoor screen.

Rhythm on Stage

The Long Center and Ballet Austin’s Butler Center for Dance & Fitness invite people of all ages and skill levels (including zero!) to come out and learn some new dance moves on the Meredith Family stage in Dell Hall. Featuring live music, tons of energy, and plenty of fun.

Santa on the Terrace

Every year, friends and family gather together for a few hours on our H-E-B Terrace to celebrate the season with holiday treats and activities for all ages—and get a FREE picture with the bearded man himself in front of  the best downtown view in all of Austin. Not too shabby.
