The Long Center is a 51 percent establishment. Guns are not permitted on Long Center property. All bags may be subject to search.

Long Center Visitor Tips

Dress Code

There is no set dress code for attending an event at the Long Center. In most cases, guest attire corresponds to the formality of the specific show; however we invite you to dress to your comfort level. If you are unsure, please feel free to call the box office at (512) 474-5664 (LONG).

Timing

Curtain times at the Long Center may vary according to the specific performance. Typically, lobby doors will open 90 minutes prior to the performance start time. The theatre doors usually open 30 minutes prior to the start of the show. Please ask an usher for the specific times set by the performing company.

Intermission & Food Policies

The Long Center offers cocktails, beer, wine, sodas, espresso, water and a variety of light snacks before the show and during intermission. Pre-order your intermission refreshments before the show and enjoy them while overlooking downtown Austin on our city terrace. Food and drink policies inside the theatre may vary, according to the presenting organization and show. Intermission times and lengths may vary by show. Please ask an usher when you arrive for more specific information.

Cameras & Recording Devices

We understand that many of your visits to the Long Center may be in celebration of a special occasion and that you may want to document the event. The view of downtown Austin from our City Terrace makes a wonderful photographic opportunity. However, due to copyright laws and in consideration of the performers, the use of photographic or recording devices inside the theatre is restricted.

ATM Location

For your convenience an ATM is located inside on the Orchestra Level Lobby behind the Armstrong/Connelly East Grand Staircase. In addition, the Box Office and all interior concession points accept all major credit cards. Please be aware that Hospitality Valet Parking is unable to process credit/debit cards.

Pets

In consideration of the general public, 4-legged friends are allowed only on the grass lawn areas outside the Long Center with the exception of service dogs. For fenced outdoor events on the City Terrace and surrounding lawn, pets may not be allowed entry. Please call Guest Services at (512) 457-5170 to verify the pet policy for any event.
