Austin Symphony Orchestra presents “The Mighty Russians,” featuring Olga Kern performing Tchaikovsky, May 18 – 19 in Dell Hall.
The ASO concludes its 2017 – 2018 season with an all Russian program which includes three of the country’s great composers; Sergei Rachmaninoff, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Igor Stravinsky along with one of its great pianists, Olga Kern. Ms. Kern returns to Austin to perform the brilliant Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 2. All three pieces performed have never been performed by the Austin Symphony.
Still want more? How about playing on some string instruments provided by our friends at Violins Etc.? We also have a wonderful pre-concert talk given by Bob Buckalew at 7:10pm. How about “tweeting” with out musicians and ASO staff? Take a photo in front of our photo wall. The Austin Symphony has “Something for Everyone.”
