This series of electric concerts in Dell Hall has an added twist: both the artists AND the audience will get to rock out together on stage! The exciting lineup will include:

DAY 1: Friday, August 30

8PM Union Specific

Union Specific crop
Since the off chance meeting of singers, guitar players, Gregg Maher and Tyler Wallace, with the later addition of bass player Kim Taruc, and whatever drummer will have them for the evening, Union Specific has played over 200 shows in the past year alone. They have toured across the country, and made countless drives across the great state of Texas to play shows and parties in both big cities and small towns alike. Find out more on their official site.

9PM The Gourds

The Gourds
You would think that after multiple albums and seventeen years of touring coast-to-coast and across the pond, the Gourds would have it all down. Well, they do: they project the alt/indie/roots sensibilities of their hometown, Austin, Texas, better than any music group going. They are also the quirkiest bunch of guys you’ll ever meet. Playing 150 gigs a year while helping raise 12 offspring among them will do that to a band. Find out more on their official site.

DAY 2: Saturday, August 31

8PM T Bird & The Breaks

TBird and The Breaks 2 crop
With a sound that pulls from the origins of hip hop, the alleyways of the Crescent City, the grease and grime of an old-school soul review, and all seven of the deadly sins, the Breaks have developed into a locomotive; slowly pumping across America, leaving crowds drenched with sweat and walking funny the next morning. The band consists of Tim Crane on vocals and piano, an unstoppable rhythm section consisting of Sammy Patlove on drums and Cody Furr on bass, Johnny “Too Bad” Allison and Sasha Ortiz on guitar and vocals. Find out more on their official site.

9PM The Relatives

The Relatives crop
Call it Gospel Funk! In truth, the sound of The Relatives is so much more. Formed in 1970 by veteran Dallas Gospel singer Rev. Gean West and his brother Tommie, The Relatives’ sound bridges the gap between traditional Gospel, Soul and Psychedelia. Find out more on their official site.

Day 3: Sunday, September 1

8PM El Vez

El Vez crop
El Vez, the self proclaimed “Mexican Elvis,” has been kicking around the L.A. underground music scene for nearly twenty years. While his records are excellent documents of the El Vez phenomenon, the only way to get the full El Vez experience is to see his live shows, which feature his band the Spiders from Memphis and the lovely El Vettes. The best way to describe a show are the Ike and Tina Turner Revue, a Tom Jones Las Vegas gig and Elvis Presley’s ’68 comeback special. Find out more on his official site.

  • Tickets go on sale Thursday, August 15 at noon.
  • Tickets are $20 per night.
