Austin Symphony Orchestra presents 7th Annual Austin Symphony Sarah and Ernest Butler Texas Young Composers Concert, June 17 at the Long Center.
The most elite young composers Texas has to offer come together for one night to premiere their compositions for all of Austin to hear. These remarkable pieces of music will be performed by your Austin Symphony Orchestra under the baton of guest conductor David In-Jae Cho.
You don’t want to miss this electrifying concert showcasing some of Texas’ talented young composers. The program notes for each piece (written by the composers themselves!) will be highlighted on a screen behind the orchestra while their piece is performed live for the first time!

Prices are $20 per adult and $5 per child, ages 18 and younger.

Austin Symphony’s Season features eight classical concerts, four pops concerts, a holiday favorite; Handel’s Messiah, the family fun Halloween Children’s Concert, the Texas Young Composers concert and our new Artisan Series. The ASO also performs a selection of free concerts throughout the year for the Austin community, such as the Christmas in the Community, July 4th Concert & Fireworks and the Hartman Foundation Concerts in the Park.
