Capital City Men’s Chorus presents Retrospectives – Capital City Men’s Chorus 30th Anniversary Fall Concert, September 22 – 23 in Rollins Studio Theatre.

As the Capital City Men’s Chorus begins their 30th concert season they look back at some of their favorite pieces of music: music that inspired, healed, entertained, and even helped to shape what they have become over the past 3 decades. Formed during the darkest days of the AIDS crisis when their main function was healing the grieving and shattered community, the chorus came to inspire other leaders to work for change, gain our Rights, and unite us through that most universal means of expression: Music. In looking back, we remember the pain of those bygone days, and also salute our triumphs and victories, and proclaim our hope for the future.

The award-winning Capital City Men’s Chorus, under the direction of Interim Dir. Bob Wolff, is the longest, continually running men’s chorus in Austin. From local churches and theaters to Carnegie Hall in New York City to the concert halls of international locales, the chorus has a rich performance history that spans 29 years!

The CCMC also believes in giving back to the community, through partnering with local charitable and humanitarian organizations, performing for local fundraisers and working with organizations that serve those in need in the greater Austin area.
