ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live Travels to the Long Center! Five Original Shows During SXSW! March 10-14 in Dell Hall.

Jimmy Kimmel Live is hitting the road! Destination? The Long Center’s Dell Hall! That’s right, for the first time since its move to the 10:35 time slot, the show will be shooting on location in Austin. The week-long trip coincides with the 28th annual South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Music Festival. Jimmy Kimmel Live will broadcast five original shows, March 10-14, from The Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long Center for the Performing Arts overlooking downtown Austin, Auditorium Shores and Lady Bird Lake. Jimmy will host celebrity guests, showcase musical performances and shoot comedy segments around Texas and at SXSW.

Instructions for Ticket Holders

3:00pm – Check-in opens. Priority check-in begins.
4:00pm – Priority check-in closes/General check-in begins
*All priority ticket holders arriving at 4pm will be put in the general line
4:30pm – Studio audience load-in
5:00pm – Check-in closes
6:00pm – Taping begins
7:15pm – Taping ends
Timeline is subject to change based on the needs of the production. Please note that we are expecting a HIGH TURNOUT for this event. Early arrival is strongly recommended. Please plan accordingly for parking and transportation.

SUGGESTED ARRIVAL TIME
Early arrival (30-40 minutes prior to the check-in time) is recommended. Allow extra time for traffic, parking and security. Please be aware that you will be standing outside until it is time for the audience to enter the studio.

AGE
All audience members must be at least 18 years old and have a valid state or government issued ID or passport (with visible date-of-birth) or birth certificate for security purposes. No exceptions.

DRESS
Our Dress code is NICE CASUAL, as if you are going to a nice dinner. No solid white clothing, shorts, hats or large logos. We reserve the right to deny entry to anyone dressed inappropriately.

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION
There is no dedicated parking location for this event. Due to the volume of tourist traffic expected in Austin for SXSW, finding parking may be difficult. We recommend parking at Highland Mall (6001 Airport Blvd., Austin, TX 78752). Highland parking is open from 10:00AM – 9:00 PM and available for only $12. The Long Center is easily accessible via the Metro Red Line. After parking take the Red Line (Stop #5603) to the Auditorium Shores Station (Stop #2763). The venue is approximately six miles from the Highland Mall parking location.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Our dress code is NICE CASUAL as if you are going to a nice dinner!  Audience members may appear on camera and may be asked to participate in the show.

Don’t’s: No shorts, t-shirts, sleeveless tops, hats or attire with logos on it.  Bright colors photograph best so please avoid black, white, and red.  We reserve the right to deny entry to anyone dressed inappropriately.

HOW LONG IS A TAPING?
Tapings typically last between an hour and a half and two hours. This does not include check-in, seating, and the audience warm-up. Ticket holders can expect the day to last approximately 3 to 3 1/2 hours from the call time to the conclusion of the show. On occasion, there will be additional segments taped in the studio prior to or after the scheduled show. Please leave your departure time flexible.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
We recommend fans arrive a minimum of 30-45 minutes prior to the call time listed on the ticket. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, as ticket distribution may be in excess of studio capacity.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO ATTEND THE SHOW?
All studio audience members must be at least 18 years of age. The minimum age for outdoor concerts is 16.  Anyone not meeting the minimum age requirement for the show will not be admitted regardless of whether they’re accompanied by a parent or guardian.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO THE SHOW?
Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID with a birth date. This information must match the information submitted with your request. We always recommend printing out a hard copy of your ticket.

CAN I BRING A CAMERA?
Cameras are not permitted inside the studio.  Photography of any kind is prohibited. If you are attending the studio portion of our taping security will check your camera which you may claim immediately following the conclusion of the entire taping.  Cell phones are allowed, but they must be turned off for the duration of the taping.  Cameras, bags, purses, and electronic devices are NOT permitted at JKL Outdoor Concerts. Cell phones are allowed.

IS THERE A SECURITY SCREENING?
All audience members are required to be screened prior to entering the studio. Please refrain from bringing extra personal belongings.

IS THERE A BAG CHECK? 
Security will hold large bags and cameras until the conclusion of the entire taping if you are attending a JKL studio taping. There is no bag check for outdoor concerts.

HOW CAN I GET STANDBY TICKETS?
Standby tickets are occasionally available approximately 90 minutes prior to showtime.  A 1iota representative will direct you to the appropriate line when you arrive.  

CAN I TAKE PICTURES?
We do not allow any sort of photography inside the studio.  This applies both before, during, and after the taping. No photos of any kind are allowed once you enter the building.  This is not applicable during outdoor concerts.  Cell phone pictures are fine during the outdoor portion of the show.

RESTROOMS?
Restrooms are located inside the building.  Restroom use is allowed prior to the start of taping. Once the house band is in place restrooms are no longer allowed in the studio.  Please be prepared to sit for the duration of the taping.

I GOT TURNED AWAY! WHAT NOW?
We overbook slightly and cannot guarantee admission.  We always recommend arriving early.  If you arrive late you do risk being turned away.  When that happens we will still scan your ticket and mark it as turned away.  You will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to attend a future taping.  Please note that we will make every effort to accommodate turned away parties at the earliest convenience – space permitting.

CAN I BRING FOOD OR WATER INTO THE HALL?
Food and water are not allowed in Dell Hall.  We do not provide food or water for audience members, but there will be plenty of food options available on the Long Center City Terrace.
