Redd Carpet Fund

Cliff Redd Helping local arts organizations take it to the next level.

Austin’s arts organizations—from the smallest to the largest—deserve a chance to perform and practice their craft in the most exceptional performance space in the city, the Long Center. Our state-of-the-art theatres allow artists to take performances to the next level and attract new audiences.

Your generous donation to the Redd Carpet Fund can help local artists create, collaborate and inspire audiences. Gifts of all sizes provide Austin-based performers access to the same exceptional performance spaces and equipment used by the world-class artists who call the Long Center home.

Through the Redd Carpet Fund, named for long-time Austin arts advocate and Long Center Executive Director Emeritus, Cliff Redd, the Long Center underwrites production expenses for small and emerging locally-based arts organizations to help offset some of the costs involved with putting on a production. Redd Carpet grants primarily support productions in the Rollins Studio Theatre.

Since it was established in 2007, the Redd Carpet Fund has awarded over $300,000 in rental subsidies to 54 Austin-based arts organizations. Your support provides the state-of-the-art performance space for groups such as Austin Shakespeare, Pollyanna Children’s Theatre, Tapestry Dance, FUSEbox Festival, Teatro Vivo, Pro Arts Collective, Women & Their Work and Austin Improv Collective and connects Austinites to their unique talents.
