The Funtastic Food & Fashion Fair is fast approaching, and you know what that means? The Shoppies and Shopkins of Shopeville are coming to Austin! Don’t be surprised if your 7-year-old spots one on the street. But how is the #1 children’s toy based on household items translating to a stage show? We did some research before it hits October 21st.
A local Pittsburgh paper got the scoop from Patti Caplette, director, choreographer and writer of the show. Caplette is also a producing artistic director with Koba Entertainment.
“We find the city of Shopville in a tizz as preparations are underway for the fair. The Shopkins and Shoppies need the audience’s help to make sure that everything goes off without a hitch,” Caplette said.
She said that with the custom-designed costumes, combined with the state-of-the-art video and set design, the show will be fun for all youth.
“Whether you are a superfan of Shopkins or just getting introduced to them for the first time, this is a show that appeals to everybody,” Caplette said. “From the dance moves to the singing to the fashion, it is dynamic and entertaining stage show.”
