And the Nominees Are… The 2017 Countdown to GAHSMTA Has Begun!

It’s official — the countdown to the 2017 Greater Austin High School Theatre Awards has begun, and the nominations are in! In the early morning of March 7th, representatives from the 31 participating high schools (the highest number yet!) gathered together in the Rollins Studio Theatre to hear the highly-anticipated news. With a performance by the Long Center’s Select Ensemble and the support of Broadway performers Nick Mayo and J. Quinton Johnson (current Broadway Hamilton cast member and Summer Stock Austin alumnus, flown in especially for this occasion), the Nomination Day Ceremony commenced.
