They’re Back! Stritch and Caruso Give Us Festive Flair This Holiday Season with A Swingin’ Christmas

It may be mid-September (already?), but as soon as August ended we were ready for fall! Okay, so it also may  be over 90-degrees outside, but we can still look forward to December, right? Because we can’t wait to celebrate the season in style with A Swingin’ Christmas, featuring Billy Stritch, Jim Caruso and Klea Blackhurst. Tickets are on sale next week, and it’s never too late to plan some classy yuletide plans!

Stritch and Caruso are no strangers to our space. Last year they brought The Sinatra Century, a cabaret-style tribute to the one and only, to Rollins Studio Theatre, and audiences loved it so much that we added an extra performance. This time joined by Klea Blackhurst, the trio is excited to present a warm and groovy evening of real Christmas classics that might just have you feeling like you’re actually roasting chestnuts by an open fire. And the best part? It’s December 20 – 22—so all of you who don’t believe in hearing a bell jingle before Thanksgiving can take a deep breath.

So it’s ’tis the season—or, at least, it will be before we know it—and we can’t wait to brighten ours up with swinging arrangements of “Christmas Waltz,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Holiday Season,” “Snow,” “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm,” and many other holiday favorites.

Check it out for yourself—see what a little jazzy piano, bass, drums and the musical stylings of Stritch, Caruso and Blackhurst can do for your budding yuletide spirit.

September or no, we’re still looking forward to the holiday season with A Swingin’ Christmas, December 20 – 22. Join us!
