With a set stage, 28 high schools, and a SOLD OUT Dell Hall, the third annual Greater Austin High School Musical Theatre Awards treated Austin to an evening of stunning Broadway numbers, inspiring acceptance speeches, scholarships and grants, and of course, some unforgettable entertainment. Wednesday, April 13th, eight nominated high schools and countless hardworking students performed on the Long Center stage in what’s becoming known as the Tony Awards for high school.
And boy, was it impressive.
“The kids involved will never forget their experience tonight. No matter what direction their lives take – in the arts or just as a fan of the arts, this program has changed them forever,” said Marc Seriff, President and CEO at the Long Center.
