Long Center Rewards Jumpstart a Collaboration for Arts and Technology with the new loyalty program from the Long Center

March 30, 2016 (Austin, TX) — The Long Center is thrilled to announce one of the biggest collaborations between the arts and technology to hit Central Texas . Starting today, Long Center Rewards is a rich and dynamic loyalty program available online and as a mobile app that rewards Long Center fans and patrons with the opportunity to earn points through purchasing tickets, engaging on social media, attending performances and events, and interacting with mobile beacons. Points are redeemed for free tickets, exclusive “money can’t buy” experiences, VIP opportunities, autographed merchandise and more!

Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, Long Center fans and patrons are encouraged to create an account online at rewards.thelongcenter.org and can connect their online ticketing account, as well as their social media accounts to start earning redeemable points. Long Center Rewards! takes both patrons and potential buyers and turns them into active and engaged users. With a simple sign-up, the Long Center can better segment unprecedented messaging from everything to the importance of arts in the community, to mission-based content and events, to upcoming shows- all through the touch of a button and the buzz of a cell phone notification.

“We’re really excited about the opportunities this program creates to let us connect with our patrons and other Austin arts-supporters in new and exciting ways,” said Heath Riddles, Director of Marketing and Communications. “There aren’t a lot of performing arts organizations in the country with something like this, and as Austin’s Creative Home we’re proud to continue our tradition of finding new and exciting ways to promote and raise awareness for the arts in Austin.”

Current prizes include Front-Row tickets to see The Wizard of Oz, gift certificates, autographed poster packs, drink vouchers and free parking, and more. “We’ll be refreshing the prizes every couple of months in order to keep things exciting and fresh. Our team had a hoot coming up with fun ways to make our patrons feel a part of the show. One of the more unique prizes you can spend your points on is getting your picture projected on our building!”

The brainchild of the Long Center, Paciolan, and mobile-app company Fanmaker, this type of app has previously only been available to sports teams and their respective fans. The Long Center introduces the opportunity to bring this trailblazing technology from the stadium to the stage- giving arts patrons yet another reason to keep coming back.

Patrons can earn points by connecting their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts through the app as well as engaging with the Long Center Rewards website online. Points are also rewarded for arriving to events early, purchasing Long Center tickets, and engaging with beacons. “The beacons are one of the cooler aspects of the program,” said Riddles. “They’re these small, tiny devices that interact with your phone when you’ve downloaded the app onto it.” They’ll check you into the building when you come early, stop by a free event on our terrace, or as a part of a contest. “We’ve got some creative things planned for later this year!”

Become a part of the show with Long Center Rewards! Those interested can learn more by visiting rewards.thelongcenter.org, and downloading the free app today. The app is available on both the iTunes and Android app store.
