Spend a Day at the Movies with the Austin Film Festival

Austin Film Festival is back with eight days of marquee films, indie hits, shorts programs, classic retrospectives, and acclaimed filmmakers showing throughout eight venues including the Long Center’s Rollins Studio Theatre.  Stop by the Rollins Theatre all eight days for the opportunity to see amazing films you might not otherwise get to watch and meet the filmmakers who brought these stories to life. Highlights to check out:

A Single Frame: While on a trip to Dubrovnik in 2007, Jeff Bowden encounters a photograph of a refugee child taken during the war in Kosovo. Driven by this haunting image, Bowden sets out to find the boy. WORLD PREMIERE

The Bad Guys: During a return trip to his childhood home, a budding filmmaker is confronted by his old friends—none of whom are aware that he intends to make his fortune off the shared childhood trauma that splintered them apart all those years ago. WORLD PREMIERE

Booger Red: A reporter investigates the story behind the largest alleged child sex-ring in Texas history. He is forced to confront his own history of abuse while discovering that the allegations at the root of his investigation may have never happened. WORLD PREMIERE
