Patsy Woods Martin is a staple of the Austin non-profit community. The longtime Long Center supporter, philanthropist and creator of the I Live Here I Give Here campaign was prominently featured in this week’s Austin Business Journal. With over thirty years experience as a non-profit executive and social entrepreneur, she continually looks to improve Austin’s nonprofits, raise awareness, and elevate local causes. Below is the ABJ excerpt, written by Michael Theis, on our very own Long Center volunteer board chair.
The Long Center has a new volunteer board as it preps for the upcoming fiscal year.
This year, it will be led by noted Austin philanthropist Patsy Woods Martin, who created the I Live Here I Give Here campaign, will lead the board as chairwoman. For the past six years, she has been a Long Center trustee.
Woods Martin has more than three decades experience working as a nonprofit executive. With her work as founder and executive director of I Live Here, I Give Here, she created a Central Texas-focused fundraising behemoth that has raised millions of dollars for hundreds of local charities from thousands of donors.
She was also previously the vice president of resource development at United Way Capital Area. She is currently the interim executive director at Annie’s List, after having served on that organization’s board of directors for four years.
