A night of exciting Spanish-inspired festivities will be centered around international prize-winning flamenco guitarist Niño de Pura’s concert October 24 at the Long Center. We are thrilled to work together again with Matt Hinsley and Austin Classical Guitar to present our second series of FlamencoAustin.
Flamenco superstar Niño de Pura flies here with his troupe this week from Sevilla, Spain to play just one show in North America: this one!
The concert is in Dell Hall on Thursday, October 24th at 8, but the party begins at 6:30 with free authentic pre-show tapas for 1,000 guests & live music and dance by Austin’s Pilar Andújar on the City Terrace!
Or you may choose to attend our full authentic Spanish Dinner in the Kodosky Lounge, also beginning at 6:30. The dinner includes amazing things like Paella Vegetariana, Paella Valenciana, the famous Tortilla de Patatas Campesina, and Pollo al ajillo with Spanish beer sauce, with Flan de Nata and Three-Chocolate Cake for dessert. More menu info is available online!
We love Niño de Pura! He’s bringing a dancer, singer and percussionist with him, but check out this extraordinary performance of him playing solo at the famous Cordoba Flamenco festival. It will take your breath away.
